McMurchy's Home Page

This website is dedicated to my parents Robert R. McMurchy (Bob) and Joan J. McMurchy. The house you see is where they lived until their passing. My name is Randy McMurchy and I am the oldest of Bob and Joan's children. This website has sat dormant for over 25 years with nothing on it but what you see now (just the header and the house photo). There are lots of memories of spending time with my parents and other members of the family in this house, and I hope the new owners will enjoy their time in it as much as we all did.

My mom was an extremely bright woman and she worked hard her whole life no matter what the task. I cannot express in words how much she helped me throughout my life. No problem was too large, nothing really rattled her. Well, she did have her moments! My dad was what I consider the smartest man I've ever known, and I'm serious about that. Dad was SMART. But he was also a good father who would never turn down a request for help of any kind. I put together an email I wrote to a good friend of the family that showcased some of the work my dad did as a young engineer. These works were instrumental in accomplishing America's vision of landing a man on the moon in 1969. Here's an excerpt of the email if you're interested

Here is a very poor copy of a photo and I will replace it with a digital copy as soon as I get one. My dad (white sweater, glasses) and my mom (black blouse) are seated in the middle. My brother Dave (with his beloved Paris in his lap) is sitting next to Mom and yours truly is sitting next to Dad. In front of my parents right there between them is my sister Katie. Next to Katie is my sister Summer and her husband Lloyd. Sitting next to me is Tara, my wife for 43 years. In the back are Tara's and my two boys, David's two daughters (and their husbands), and Katie's daughter. Also in the photo is two of Bob and Joan's great-grandchildren. There's seven or eight more great-grandchildren now, I'll find out exactly and update this text.
